First Santiago Sobrequés i Vidal History Prize

The prize will be given for research on the history of Catalonia.

The centenary of the birth in Girona of historian Santiago Sobrequés i Vidal (1911-1973) will be commemorated throughout 2011 with a series of activities. The Centenary Committee, with the support of Editorial Base and the sponsorship of Caixa Girona Social Work Department, has decided to organise the Santiago Sobrequés i Vidal History Prize for research on the history of Catalonia. The prize-winning research paper will be published, as well as any other papers submitted that the Jury considers worthy of publication.
