The Museum's collection grows through new donations and acquisitions

The municipal collection took charge of works by of three local artists who are no longer with us: Josep Perpiñà, Montserrat Llonch and Josep Aguilera.

Mr. Francesc Aguilera Gallart donated eighteen works by his father, the painter Josep Aguilera Martí, to Girona City Council, and they will now join the City History Museum's collection along with four other Council acquisitions: one oil painting by Josep Perpiñà, and one more by Montserrat Llonch, plus a drawing by Josep Aguilera and a flag from the Anti-Fascist Militias Committee of the Unified Socialist Party (PSU) in Girona.
