It is the 125th anniversary of the birth of artist Ricard Guinó

You can see a sample of his work at the Girona History Museum.

In the Girona History Museum we have exposed some of his best known works made in plaster belonging to the characteristic art nouveau classicism, own movement also another great Girona sculptor Fidel Aguilar.
And recently, it has added an original sculpture portraying Length Miquel de Palol, this is an excellent portrait impressionistic, with a wink that reflects accurately the lives and attitudes of important gerundense literary stage, standing with the body leaning slightly back and hands holding a book.

Palol family kept the original plaster that Guinó made in 1910 and in 2013 donated to the City of Girona. The council has made a bronze sculpture, which has been deposited in the Museum, and displayed in the rooms dedicated to showing art and culture of modernism and Noucentisme in Girona.
