Girona and the sardana

The museum presents the new space dedicated to the close relationship between the city and the Sardana.

The museum is working on the renovation and historiographical museísticament of permanent structures. This new open space is devoted to the close relationship between Girona and Sardana, and is located on the third floor.
The Sardana is a typical dance of the Girona area, with a leading role in feasts. The instrumental group is linked to this dance is the song. But not only plays sardanas auditions, sinoque for many years the couplet was responsible for bringing any music in towns and cities: interpreted from opera to zarzuela, did parades, dance music...
The aim of this room remodeling is to present the Sardana and genuinely Girona couplet as two products with strong social and historical presence, and make a searchable tool for the educational world.
