The History Museum turns 55 today

On January 8, 1960 the municipal council of Girona approved its creation.

Once created, the museum was located in the Burgues House, just on the same the Force street.
The current building housed the Secondary School until 1968. It was in 1975 when the Ministry of Education gave the building to the city of Girona to install permanently the Girona History Museum.
