Today opens Girona in modern times

At 12:30 pm the opening ceremony will take place this temporary exhibition.

The exhibition offers an overview of the changes experienced in the city and society in economic, social, religious, artistic and urban in Baroque. Also examines historical from below of the city and its evolution over the period, while expressly rejecting a narrative based on material too institutional in nature. It also pays special attention, given the timing, the issue of the War of Succession in the city and its surroundings. All this to achieve the goal of creating the museum and to increase awareness of the historic city.
After the opening ceremony the curators of the exhibition will be a guided tour (13 h). Simultaneously, another part of the exhibition, entitled "La Girona dissident" will be open to the public at the Museum of Jewish History.
