The entire anthology of Montsalvatge's sardanes is presented

The Band of the la Principal de la Bisbal will perform on Thursday, July 12, at 7 pm in the Mercé Auditorium.

Xavier Montsalvatge was a multifaceted and versatile artist. Like all great Catalan composer, could not resist the temptation to write Sardana. The MHCG aims to raise awareness sardanes Montsalvatge that he composed in his youth, to be played and not too little known.
The Principal of La Bisbal, directed by Francesc Cassú perform the work for brass of Montsalvatge. The repertoire of this day consists in: La meva Girona (ca.1930) Puigsacalm (1932), Madrigal en forma de Sardana (1946 ), and Elegia a Juli Garreta (1946).
