Mediaeval Girona. The key of the realm

The sample that exhibit continues in the Museum of History of the Jewish and in the cloister of Sant Daniel Monastery.

More than seven hundred years separate the Parva Gerunda of the city of the 16th century. Between half subject and object of changes and of continuities, Girona lived some centuries that have configured powerfully his appearance and his current image. Southward border city or to the north, enclave of the ecclesiastical organisation, condal and real, economic centre, focus of culture and cultures: it is to a lot of levels that the mediaeval Girona shows us his identity, the one to be key of the realm.
