One of the most important essayists in Catalan tongue of the 20th century and one of the Catalan authors more translated.

Writer gerundense very influential in the cultural world of the city, during the Second Spanish Republic, to the 27 years, saw forced exile in Perpiñán, where resided until his death. They stand out the multiple facets of his activity like committed intellectual, especially during the half century of his exile in the Catalonia North. We will discover his periplo vital splitting of Girona, going through Madrid, Barcelona and Montpellier (years of training), Perpiñán (where established his residence in the exile to the end), Prades (was the personal secretary and man of confidence of Pau Casals), Cotlliure (where led the initiative to promote a popular subscription to build the grave of Antonio Machado) and Ginebra (translator of the Organisation of the United Nations).
