Latest acquisitions. Between modernity and contemporaneity:

An exhibition of twelve pictures representing Girona art in the early 20th century.

The new museum space will periodically exhibit works from the municipal art fonds in order to bring it before a wider public. The space opens with twelve works from the first half of the 20th century, by well-known local artists such as Jaume Roca Delpech, Josep Aguilera, Josep Gelabert, Jaume Pons Martí and Pere Perpiñà, and artists such as Joan Orihuel who have had close links with Girona. The works in this small selection are mainly landscapes, which bear witness to the transformation of our city over the years. For this first exhibition, we have selected the latest acquisitions and donations from the last two years, in recognition of the persons who have altruistically contributed to the fonds and thereby to our knowledge of Girona.
