Xargay. The flight of a line

New insight is gained into Emília Xargay.

To coincide with the eightieth anniversary of the birth of Emília Xargay, the City History Museum has organised an exhibition around her life as an artist, with special emphasis placed on her creative processes. The exhibition aims to free the artist from clichéd associations with sculpture and bull-fighting motifs and draw attention to her extraordinarily tenacity and insatiable taste for experimentation. New insight is gained into Emília Xargay on seeing her drawings, sketches, preliminary materials and some major finished works, such as the maternities inspired by her discovery of South-American native cultures.
