International Holocaust Remembrance Day

January 27th

January 27th is the International Holocaust Remembrance Day, date chosen to commemorate the liberation of the camp extermination of Auschwitz-Birkenau (Poland) in 1945. It is a Day to keep alive the memory of this barbarism and educate for the future, against intolerance, discrimination and racism.

The Patronat Call de Girona joins this commemoration by offering various events in memory of the victims. This year, due to the limitations imposed by social distance, they will be held online:

Wednesday, January 27
Participation in the digital campaign #WeRemember.
Screening of the film The Illegals.

Thursday, January 28
Open online conversation Auschwitz: paisatge i memoria. Reflexions sobre una visita, una ferida a l'ànima by Marta Marín-Dòmine, Assumpció Hosta and Pepa Balsac.

Friday, January 29
Commented visit to the temporary exhibition Je vous offre les oiseaux / Us ofereixo els ocells by its curator Marta Marín-Dòmine.
