We continue to improve the museum
Throughout 2019 the Museum of Jewish History has renewed its spaces and has worked for the dissemination of Girona's Jewish history thanks to grants and public aid
During 2019, the Museum of Jewish History has offered two new temporary exhibitions and a cycle of conferences, among other activities, and has also renewed two areas of the permanent collection: "Daily bread" and "A difficult relationship".
This has been possible thanks to the budgetary contribution of our patrons (Girona City Council, Generalitat de Catalunya and Diputació de Girona), but also to subsidies and public aid, such as the one that came from the Generalitat for the activities of Museums of Catalonia.
This year, the Generalitat de Catalunya, at the meeting of the Inheritance Board of December 20, 2018, agreed that a part of the economic amount allocated to provide the line of grants for the operation and activities of museums in Catalonia should come of the distribution of the relieved flows of the intestate inheritances. This agreement made it possible for the Museum of Jewish History to have been able to perform all these actions throughout the year 2019.
