In parallel with the exhibition Jewishwood. The Jewish contribution to the birth of Hollywood, we propose a series of 4 meetings to discuss literary works that have been made into films: "Del llibre a la gran pantalla".

Third session: Europa, Europa, by Sally Perel.

Sally Perel, a German Jew born in 1925, survived the Holocaust by hiding his identity and joining the Hitler Youth at the age of sixteen. His life swung between two extreme realities: his hidden Jewish identity and the false Nazi persona he was forced to adopt. Forty years later, he shares his story.
