Forbidden music

Trio Traç concert

Thursday, July 18th - 21 h
Museu d'Història dels Jueus

Forbidden Music is an original idea by the Traç trio, which presents an intimate and close concert full of history: that of the totalitarian regimes that banned jazz and that of music as a symbol of freedom and democracy.

The repertoire includes jazz pieces by Jewish authors and some jazz standards that are iconic of some of the characteristics of this music that was persecuted and banned during Nazism, since the National Socialist regime considered this genre “degenerate music.”

Traç is a group made up of Queralt Valls (violin and voice), Jesús Torrent (electric guitar) and Clara Ribatallada (double bass).

Free entry with limited capacity.
