Title: Family Sayings Author: Natalia Ginzburg
Publication: 1963
Natalia Ginzburg (born Levi) belonged to the generation of young anti-fascist intellectuals along with her husband, Leone Ginzburg, and his friend, Cesare Pavese, among others. With this work, Ginzburg situates us in the political and cultural environment of the Italy from 1930 to 1950, where she shows us the life of the Levi family in the city of Torino. She builds the novel on language, these banal and repeated, although intimate expressions, that are only understood in one's family.
