Christmas at the Museum is in its eleventh edition

Christmas at the Museum 2025 takes place from December 6 to January 7 at the museums of the Territorial Network of Museums in the Counties of Girona The students have conceived and created the campaign poster and have designed a personalized game book for each of the 26 museums in the Network

This Friday, the presentation of the eleventh edition of Christmas at the Museum took place at the Olot Art School, a campaign that will fill the museums of the Territorial Network of Museums of the Girona Regions with activities from December 6 to January 7.
This year, for the fourth time, the joint Christmas campaign at the Museum has been carried out in the form of an educational and co-creation project with the students of the higher education cycle of the Escuela de Arte de Olot. The students, through the museum collections, were able to understand and design material aimed at children. Both the design, the conceptualization and the execution have been the result of a work process that began last school year and that has ended today, with the presentation of the action and the start of the campaign.

The students have devised and created the poster for the campaign (the winning poster was made by Neret Cortés), and they have also devised and designed a personalized game book for each of the 26 museums of the Network.

The presentation of the campaign was attended by Imma Muñoz, deputy of the Diputación de Girona; Josep Quintana, councilor of the Culture and Education Area of Olot City Council; Montserrat Mallol, director of the Museums of Olot and representative in Olot of the Territorial Network of Museums of the Regions of Girona; Neret Cortés, the author of the poster, and the second-year students of the higher education course in illustration at the Escuela de Arte de Olot, as well as the management team.

In addition to the free offer to visit the permanent collection of the museums with the game book of the campaign, as is already the tradition in the museums of the territory, the children who visit them will be able to enjoy a lot of workshops and educational activities. The 26 museums that are part of the Network offer a wide range of family activities scheduled for the Christmas holidays: children's workshops, Christmas houses, nativity scenes, escape games (escape room), scavenger hunts, music auditions, Christmas lantern workshop and Christmas postcards and cone recitals. In this way, it is intended that museums enter the family imagination as an open, playful, friendly and welcoming space to discover local heritage and traditions during the Christmas period.

From December 6th to January 7th, coinciding with the school holidays, families with children of all ages will be able to freely visit the Network's museums with a small activity booklet that will be provided free of charge. Through this book-game, it is proposed to search for four pieces or spaces of the museum. Once in front of the pieces, based on the observation, they must solve small challenges.

Each museum, in line with previous years, has a small children's area, with tables and chairs and colored pencils, to provide children with a drawing space where they can collaboratively decorate a Christmas tree.
You will find the entire program of Christmas activities for the 26 museums of the Territorial Network of Museums of the Regions of Girona on the website https://www.nadalalmuseu.com.
In addition, the event will also be present on social networks with the tag #NadalalMuseu.
