El Call de Girona organizes several activities to encourage reading during the month of October

Registrations for the proposals, which are free and open to everyone, are now open on the municipal website

The Patronat Call de Girona will start tomorrow a programme of three free activities to encourage reading. Under the title "October, a month of books in the Jewish quarter" the programme wants to encourage citizens to read a good book.

This October, the Call of Girona is proposing a set of three proposals. The first is the reading club Remembering Franz Kafka, organised on the occasion of the 100 anniversary of his death and which will deal with some of his short stories. These sessions, led by Joan Cardona, will start tomorrow, 8 October, at the Nahmanides Institute for Jewish Studies and will continue until December.

On Thursday, October 10, the book Comentari "anònim" al Llibre de la Formació by the Kabbalist Abraham Abulafia, will be presented at the Museum of Jewish History with the participation of Arnau Pons and the translator of the book, Neil Manel Frau-Cortès.

And to close the month of October there will be a dialogue around the poetic-literary text Yo no estuve en Auschwitz, written by Concha Pérez Rojas, with the author and Joan Cardona. It will take place on Saturday, October 19, at 12 noon, at the Nahmanides Institute for Jewish Studies.

Registration is now open.
