Museu del Cinema

As a parallel activity to the exhibition Jewishwood: The Jewish Contribution to the Birth of Hollywood, which can be visited until April 6, 2026, we are offering a series of film screenings that explore the Hollywood of the major studios.

In this session, we will screen and discuss Barton Fink by Joel and Ethan Coen (United States, 1991), 116 minutes, with English subtitles (VOSE).

In 1941, Barton Fink travels to Hollywood to write a screenplay about wrestler Wallace Berry. Once settled at the Hotel Earle, the screenwriter suffers a severe creative block. His roommate, a cheerful insurance salesman, tries to help him, but a series of adverse circumstances leave him feeling increasingly unable to face his work.

Location: Cinema Museum - Activity Room
Address: 1 Sèquia St.

Advance registration: required. Admission: free. Film presented by: Jordi Dorca (Curator, Museum of Cinema). Organized by: Museum of Jewish History and Museum of Cinema
