Ukraína

Presentation of the book by Concha Pérez Rojas

Tuesday, February 28,
Institut d'Estudis Nahmànides

Between 1941 and 1944, more than 1,500,000 Ukrainian Jews were massacred, deported, and murdered by the Nazi regime. On September 29, 1941, 33,777 Jewish people (women, children, men) were killed at Babi Yar in Kiiv. In 2021, a memorial was placed there.

In September 2022, in yet another chapter of this violent aggression against the country and its people, a Russian missile hit the Memorial.

Concha Pérez Rojas, writer and professor graduated at the International School of Holocaust Studies at Yad Vashem (Israel), has collected the history of that time of horror, and has written "Ukraína" as a verse broken, like a cry of memory.

Presentation by the historian José Miguel Hernández.

Free activity in Spanish. Prior registration is requested.
