Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights

Guided tour through the Museum of History of Jewish People

At 12 noon on Sunday 13th December, coinciding with the last day of Hanukkah for the year 2009-5770, and as part of the new programme "Let's discover the Museum", a guided tour of the Museum was held, based on the subject of Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights. An explanation was heard of the origin and symbolism of this festival, which is closely linked to the history of the Jewish people, and a guided tour was made of the Museum, following the theme of the festival through specific aspects of the history of the Jewish community of Girona.
