Museum of Cinema

Housed in the former Casa de les Aigües, a central location in the Mercadal neighbourhood, this museum exhibits Tomàs Mallol's valuable collection of pre-cinema pieces, from the first moving images from shadow theatres to today's cinema.

Opening Hours

September to June:Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 to 18.00; Sundays and bank holiday Mondays from 10.00 to 14.00.

July and August: Monday to Saturday from 10.00 to 19.00. Sundays from 10.00 to 14.00.

Entrance Fees

Normal entrance: 7 €

Reduced entrance: 5,50 € (members of organisations with agreements with the Museum)

Reduced entrance: 3,50 € (students, pensioners, unemployed people and groups of 15 people or more)

Free entrance: children under 14, Friends of the Cinema Museum, Girona Cultura 16-25 card, AMC and ICOM members.

Free entry on the first Sunday of each month, December 28 (anniversary of the first public film screening) and May 18 (International Museum Day).
